After working very hard during the week, making dumplings in the weekend is a fun and relaxing family event!
Minced pork, ca 300 g
Cabbage, ca 200 g
Spring onion, a lot
Chinese chives, a lot
Garlic, 4 cloves
Salt and pepper
One must be very patient... First chop everything small. Put a lot of salt on cabbage and let it sit for a while until water comes out. Discard the water and mix everything. Let it sit in the fridge for 1 hour.
After heating up the pan with a bit of oil, place the dumplings on the pan. Fry a bit with medium heat, and then put hot water until partly covered. Put the lid on and steam with high heat for 3 minutes.
This is the second try (the first try did not go that well...). Perfectly cooked with great surface!!! I am pretty impressed myself.
Dip into soy sauce and vinegar! Fantastic!
